I was introduced to chess at 8, and I’ve never stepped away from the board since. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve competed in 150+ chess tournaments, from local circuits to state-level championships. A proud moment? Crowning the Bharathiyar University Champion in 2019 was just one of many highlights in a journey filled with checkmates, comebacks, and category wins.
Coaching Journey
What began as a personal passion turned into a purpose — to help others experience the same mental growth that chess gave me. In the last 10 years, I’ve coached over 50+ students, from kids just learning the moves to young players chasing their first rating. Many of them now have their own trophies to show — and yes, I keep track of their progress with pride.
